There's no scarcity of opportunity to make a living at what you love. There is only a scarcity of resolve to make it happen.

Who is P.W. Boswell?

Phillip W. Boswell, MA, B.Ed, BA, HBOR, RRP

Phil is a self-professed adventurer. He has sailed across the Atlantic on a tall-ship, paddled thousands of kilometres across Canada in a voyageur canoe and spent a year cycling the world. Phil is also an enthusiastic life long learner and holds a Masters Degree in Leadership and Training and brings with him 15 years' experience working with people in need. He is a certified teacher and also a Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP). Phil is also certified to deliver Job Finding Clubs and administer a variety of vocational assessments such as the General Aptitude Test Battery (GATB), Strong Interest Inventory (SII), Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Canadian Work Preference Inventory (CWPI), Wide Range Achievement Test (WRAT-4) as well as Valpar Pro 3000.

Phil has a keen interest in facilitating groups and helping others overcome barriers to employment. He believes that a collaborative approach to working with clients is the most beneficial, because it provides an opportunity for them to actively engage in the process. He brings compassion and a sense of humour to his work. This enables him to relate well to groups as well as to individuals and overall enables him to establish a safe, positive environment.

He believes that self-reflection can enable individuals to become more self-confident and assertive, to believe in and value themselves more, and to perceive themselves as agents if their own actions. This makes individuals better able to shape their own destiny in order to lead more meaningful and purposeful lives.

About our logo

The logo depicts Janus. Janus is the Roman god of gates and doors, beginnings and endings, and hence represented with a double-faced head, each looking in opposite directions. He was worshipped at the beginning of the harvest time, planting, marriage, birth, and other types of beginnings, especially the beginnings of important events in a person's life. Janus also represents the transition between primitive life and civilization, between the countryside and the city, peace and war, and the growing-up of young people. Janus was represented with two faces; originally one face was bearded while the other was not. Later both faces were bearded. The double-faced head appears on many Roman coins. The month of January is named after him.
